Human Rights Campaign Sparks Interest throughout Europe

In country after country, the popularity of Youth for Human Rights International’s (YHRI) human rights campaign continues to grow.

In Hungary, a chain of movie theaters is now airing human rights public service announcements (PSAs) and the UNITED music video before every feature movie in each of their theaters throughout the country.

A music TV station that is airing the Youth for Human Rights PSAs liked them so much they decided to do a TV show featuring interviews with two members of the YHRI team. On the show they also presented awards to three students who were winners in the YRHI human rights contest.

A teacher in Hamburg showed the UNITED music video and human rights PSAs to her students. Impressed by the interest it generated, she now plans to use these materials in all her classes.

An Alderman in Novara decided to implement the Youth for Human Rights campaign in his schools and has started doing so with the help of the dean of one of the local secondary schools who has adopted the program.

In addition to European YHRI groups, there are chapters in Canada, United States, Mexico, South America, United Kingdom, India, Africa, Japan, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand. Each day, more youth learn about and become advocates for human rights in their own countries and the excitement is rapidly spreading around the globe.
